By law, you must let the Department of Justice and Community Safety know within 21 days of changes to your details. Fore example, moving house or starting child-related work with a different organisation. Once you receive an email with your receipt, you can register for MyCheck and update your details anytime online.
The Department of Justice and Community Safety will only use the information obtained through Checks as permitted by the Working with Children Act 2005, Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 and Health Records Act 2001.
If you have a criminal record, the department will not disclose the details to your organisation without your consent.
