| E-commerce Security System
Credit card information and transactions are protected using a technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This is a full 128 bit SSL encryption to protect your personal details. If your browser is capable of SSL, and most are, your sensitive information will automatically be encrypted before being sent over the Internet. We do not store your credit card details on our Internet server. This strategy, combined with SSL, provides you with a high level of security to ease your concerns.
No data transmission over the Internet can be 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information. We cannot warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems. |
Credit Card Information
Credit Card Information supplied is not stored on our website or database. This information is transferred directly to the Camtech site via secured transmission and is then removed upon confirmation of acceptance. This process is done realtime and the only record stored is a transaction number which cannot be related to any details of the credit card.
Printing
We have provided a "Print this Page" link on some pages and some transactions. Clicking the "Print this Page" link will open a new window and the Print dialog box. Simply click on the OK button to print the page. You can close the "Print this Page" window by clicking on the Close button.
Printing web pages is generally as simple as pushing the print button on your browser, but you can have problems with the following:
Pages that use light-colored print on a dark background. Designers will often place light print on a dark background for graphical impact. When printing the printer will read the text as white and will therefore not print it. To overcome this problem you will need to change the font preferences in your browser to stipulate your own colours.
In Netscape 4
From the menu bar, select Edit > Preferences and then click on the Colors heading under the Appearance heading. Check the Always Use My Colors box. Note that you can change the colours to suit your own taste. Undoing this is as simple as unchecking the box.
Macintosh: From the top menu bar, select File > Print. In the drop-box (default is general) select colour matching, from the Print Color drop down box, choose Black & White then print.
In Internet Explorer 4 & 5
For Windows: From the top menu bar, select View > Internet Options. From the General dialog box, select the Accessibility button on the bottom right and then check the ignore colours used on web pages box.
Macintosh: From the top menu bar, select File > Print. In the drop-box (default is general) select colour matching, from the Print Color drop down box, choose Black & White then print.
Java and JavaScript
Java is used to create small programs called "applets" which run inside your browser. The Department of Justice doesn't use Java extensively, but some transactions will require it to be enabled.
Javascript is used by the Department of Justice. This application gives the web browser some extra capabilities. Common uses for JavaScript are "mouseovers", which are used to make images change when your mouse moves over them, and pop-up windows, which are used to make a smaller window appear on your screen in front of your main browsing window.
Ensure Java and Javascript are enabled as follows:
Netscape 4 & 6
- Select Edit, then Preferences from the browser
- Select the Category: Advanced panel
- Ensure the boxes Enable Java and Enable JavaScript are checked
Restart the browser
Internet Explorer 4 & 5
- Select Tools, then Internet Options from the browser
- Select the Security tab
- Click on the Custom Level button
- Ensure the Enable radio button is selected for Active scripting in the Scripting section
Restart the browser
